Jon suffered for this shot
A few years back I was hiking in the Marin Headlands in San Francisco when I stumbled upon this tree. There was something really amazing about the way it picked up the light from the setting sun. So I grabbed my best friend and as I like to call him, my favorite whore, and headed out for sunset. Summer in San Francisco is notoriously cold and being on top of a hill, in a tree, naked with freezing 40 mph wind tested my friend but he was a trouper and we got some great shots that day. This is one of them.
